Caroline Campbell

I think of therapy as a safe, collaborative space to explore what’s going on beneath the surface – a space to slow down, reflect, and better understand yourself and your relationships. Whether we are unpacking long-standing patterns, navigating current struggles, or exploring questions around identity, purpose, or connection, I will meet you with compassion and presence. I believe meaningful change comes not only from insight but also from feeling understood and exploring new ways of being that feel more authentic and fulfilling.

My approach is grounded in humanistic-existential and psychodynamic principles, with a strong relational focus. I often draw on Emotion-Focused Therapy to support emotional awareness and healing, particularly with couples. I work with individuals and couples navigating a wide range of emotional experiences and life transitions. I frequently support clients facing relationship difficulties, trauma and early attachment wounds, challenges with identity and self-worth, as well as major life changes and existential questions.

I have a special interest in working with young adults and those in the perinatal period, including pregnancy, postpartum adjustment, fertility challenges, and the transition to parenthood. Additionally, I have experience supporting people dealing with grief, loss, and end-of-life issues, including the psychological impact of cancer and other serious illnesses, caregiving responsibilities, and anticipatory loss.

I hold a Psy.D. (Doctorate of Psychology) in Clinical Psychology from The Chicago School, an APA-accredited program in the United States. I am currently in the process of becoming registered with the College of Psychologists and Behavioural Analysts of Ontario (CPBAO). I have trained and worked in a variety of settings in both Canada and the U.S., including a residential treatment centre for adolescents, a private practice specializing in neuropsychological assessments, a teen parent support organization community mental health programs, a cancer wellness centre, and Waterloo Regional Health Network (WRHN), where I continue to support children, adolescents, and young adults across several mental health programs.
