Briar Inness

I am dedicated to helping individuals navigate life challenges with clarity, confidence, and self-compassion. With a background in cognitive behavioral therapy, cognitive processing therapy, and acceptance and commitment therapy, I have over five years of experience providing psychological services to adults experiencing anxiety, trauma, depression, relationship issues, life transitions, perinatal mood and anxiety concerns, pain, insomnia, and various health conditions.

My approach to treatment is collaborative, warm, curious, and nonjudgmental – creating a space where you can feel heard, understood, and safely explore past and present experiences. I believe that change happens when we bring insight and awareness to our everyday experiences, meet ourselves with compassion, and make changes that allow us to feel connected, empowered, and live meaningfully; I’m here to support you on that journey.

I am a senior-level Ph.D. Candidate in Clinical Psychology at McMaster University. I am currently completing my predoctoral residency at London Health Sciences Centre. My doctoral research focuses on the behavioral features of anxiety during pregnancy and the postpartum period.
